Donated Watches

We love watches, now matter what they are all whether they are worn by the elite or given away with a kid's meal at a fast food restaurant.  Every watch tells a story and indeed has its own little place in history.
We are honoured that our collection contains a number of watches that were donated to us and we appreciate each and everyone.  If you have a watch that is sitting at the bottom of a drawer (working or not) or gathering dust in the attic and would like to donate it to a good home, we would love to be considered.  We can then so some research on it and make a video.  To contact us please see details below.

We would like to thank the following people for donating watches to our collection

Timex Red Vega Reissue (2026)

Donated by Stephen Scholz of Timex (USA)

With its red marbleized the Red Vega Reissue is another fine example of Timex reconnecting with their past by reintroducing some of the most iconic timepieces from their archives in a line of modern-day reissues.

The Q-Timex Red Vega is a 19'70s icon with roots in pop culture and film (appearing on John Travolta's wrist in the film Pulp Fiction) is making a bold return, complete with a red marbleized dial and unique domed acrylic crystal boasting intricate interior facets that catch and refract light..  It certainly has plenty of features built into it with a dual time display, date, thermometer, stopwatch and a countdown time.  The watch was one of 3 watches given to celebrate the 100th episode of Harvey P watches,

Our thanks go to Stephen at Tmex for this watch.

Timex NASA X (2026)

Donated by Stephen Scholz of Timex (USA)

The Q-Timex NASA X watch pays  homage to the 1972 Apollo 17 mission to the moon and features a number of dials and NASA logo.

Not only does the moon on the dial glow in the dark the watch also has a sun/ moon phase dial and an ornate back with an iconic blue marble photo,  The watch was one of 3 watches given to celebrate the 100th episode of Harvey P watches,

Our thanks go to Stephen at Tmex for this watch.

Timex Peanuts World Cup (2026)

Donated by Stephen Scholz of Timex (USA)

The Timex Peanuts Football / World Cup watch had us baffled from then moment we saw it.  The watch is a mechanical watch and features Snoopy kicking a ball on the face.  How the ball moves around the face though still has us baffled, we assumed it was attached to a second hand although at hard as we look cant see a second hand.

.The watch was one of 3 watches given to celebrate the 100th episode of Harvey P watches,

Our thanks go to Stephen at Tmex for this watch

Benlydesign C-0P0 (2025)

Donated by Oliver of Benlydesign (China)

The Benlydesign C-0PO watch is one of the latest watches from Benleydesion's retro range crearting watches with a 1970s theme. The C-0PO features but a "jump" display with its rotating dials and a digital display.

The watch was presented to Harvey to help celebrate his 100th episode of Harvey P Watches and so is extra special as the watch includes a laser engraving on the back that reads, "Benlywatch Futuristic - Celebrating Harvey's 100th video,

Our thanks go to Oliver at Benlydesign Watches for this watch.

Benlydesign X7000 Sample - Pre-production model (2024)

Donated by Daniel of Benlydesign (China)

This particular watch sent to Harvey by Daniel at Benlydesign Watches in China is just that little bit more special as this is one of Benlydesign's samples for their X7000 series so the watch has not yet reached manufacture.  It is in essence one of their prototypes with Harvey being the first person in the UK to own one.

The watch has a superbly sculptured zinc-alloy case, a stainless steel back and bracelet and is fitted with a red O-LED display and is expected to be manufactured early 2024.  It certainly has plenty of features built into it with a dual time display, date, thermometer, stopwatch and a countdown time.

Our thanks go to Daniel at Benlydesign for this watch..

Benlydesign Cyber Watch S3000B-C (2024)

Donated by Daniel of Benlydesign (China)

Said to be styled with a passing glance to the Tesla Cybertruck. the Benlydesign Cyber watch S3000 series is one if the more fascinating and unusual looking of watches thanks to its geometric shape and open window showing the watches internal circuit board.

With a zinc alloy case, stainless steel base and bright O-LED display, the watch is superbly built and offers more than its fair share of functions.  It's fair to say that this is one of those few watches in our collection that instantly attracts attention and has people asking what is it.

Our thanks go to Daniel at Benlydesign Watches for this watch.

Benlydesign Stargazer S1000S-R (2024)

Donated by Daniel of Benlydesign (China)

This rather retro looking watch was sent to Harvey by Daniel at Benlydesign Watches in China. The watch, a Stargazer S1000S-R is one of several models the company makes that are inspired by LED watches from the 1970s.

Unlike watches from the 1970s though this one has an abundance of features built into it with a dual time display, date, thermometer, stopwatch and a countdown time.  With its OLED screen it is also a very clear display to read outdoors on a bright day.  The watch has a stainless steel back and bracelet and a zinc alloy body and so has a really nice weight to it.

Our thanks go to Daniel at Benlydesign for this watch.

Oulm 9316B Military (2016)

Donated by School Crossing Patrol Lady (UK)

This watch was giving to Harvey on his way to school by the School Crossing Patrol Lady.  A couple of days earlier the School Crossing Patrol Lady mentioned to Harvey that she had seen his videos on YouTube and then a couple of days later, Harvey crossed the road and she then gave him this watch for his collection.

Measuring 50mm across the watch, an Oulm 9316B Military watch, is a beast of a watch as it is absolutely enormous.  The watch is a World time watch with 3 analogue watches, 1 digital watch and 3 sub-dials all on display on the face (although the small watch right at the top is a dummy face with hands just stuck on as are the 3 sub-dial).  All this faces require adjustment and so the watch features a crown and 1 button on the left side and another crown and 3 buttons on the right hand side, although both large buttons are actually dunny ones.

Our thanks go to School Crossing Patrol lady for giving us this watch

Zeon 11817G Analogue (1995)

Donated by Anonymous (UK)

Two watches in our collection were kindly donated to us by a sender in the UK who wishes to remain anonymous . This Zeon 11817G Quartz Analog is a watch purchased from Index in Paisley (UK) on 17th July 1995 for the grand sum of £29.99

The watch arrived with all its original paperwork and box and despite laying unused for a number of years soon burst into life with a fresh battery and a gentle squirt of compressed air.

Styled on a divers watch, originally the bracelet was silver with a gold stripe along the centre although over the years the gold has worn away although still looks just as eye catching in all silver.

Our thanks go to the sender for this watch.

Zeon Rock Album - Version 2 (1982)

Donated by Anonymous (UK)

There is an old adage that you wait ages for a bus and then two come along at once, the second being courtesy of Anonymous.  I originally bought a Zeon Rock Album in 1982 and it was stolen a few years later and it took me until 2018 to find another one to replace it.

So, imagine my surprise to have this second Zeon Rock Album donated to our collection although this one actually has a slightly different display to ours and so we have called this one "Version 2".  Presently the watch does not work as the strap going to the bottom of the battery has broken off and needs repairing.  The sender has asked that when the watch is repaired that it is given to Harvey so we then have a Zeon Rock Album watch each.

Our thanks go to the sender for this watch.

Omega Speedmaster Pro - Ex- NASA (1985)

Donated by Lauri Murakami (USA)

This amazing watch was given to Harvey when he was younger by Lauri MurakamI in the USA.. Not only is the watch the same as the first watch worn on the moon in 1969 by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, This actual watch is an Ex-NASA watch once  owned by an Ex-NASA Test Pilot called John Winfield at Edwards Airbase in California.  Unfortunately we have not been able to find out much about Mr. Winfield's life with NASA as they will only release information to direct family members.

In addition to the watch. Lauri also gave Harvey, John Winfield's flight suit, flying jacket and operating manual   The watch is currently in storage being kept safe for when Harvey is older.

Our thanks go to Lauri for sending us this watch.

Movado Museum (1995)

Donated by Harry Kraemer of Kraemer Aviation (USA)

Three of the watches in our collection kindly arrived from Harry Kraemer of Kraemer Aviation in the USA..

The first of these watches is the Movado Museum watch and so called because, as we detail on the Trivia page, due to its design, it was the first watch to be accepted by the Museum of Modern Art, New York, into its permanent design collection.

Along with the watch Harry also provided the original  operating manual and paper work showing that this watch was purchased from Littman in the Golden Ring Mall (USA) on 22nd July 1995 for $282.45

Our thanks go to Harry for sending us this watch.

Fossil PC304 (1994)

Donated by Harry Kraemer of Kraemer Aviation (USA)

The second watch sent to us by  Harry Kraemer of Kraemer Aviation in the USA is this Fossil PC304 watch.

Whilst at a quick glance it appears to resemble the Movado Museum watch above, this watch has a very unusual crystal and indeed, is the only watch in the collection like this.  The crystal is in effect a dodecagon being shaped with 12 sides.   It really is quite different to all our other watches and on the wrist is certainly an eye catching piece in the way it reflects the light off the crystal.

Harry also sent us the paperwork for this watch showing that it was purchased from Just in Time in Towson town center (USA) on the 14th January 1995 for $55.

Our thanks go to Harry for sending us this watch.

Jaques Prevard Diamond Quartz (1996)

Donated by Harry Kraemer of Kraemer Aviation (USA)

Another watch received from Harry Kraemer of Kraemer Aviation in the USA is this Jaques Prevard Diamond watch that is quite striking in the way the watch merges into the bracelet with both parts almost becoming one.

In addition to its eye catching look, the watches appears to be clad in diamonds along the edges of the watch face and at the 12 o'clock marker.   These are actually very clever visual tricks as upon closer inspection, the diamonds are actually a pattern that has been cast in the case and then polished to give the illusion of diamonds.

As with other watches donated to our collection by Harry, this watch also includes all its paperwork and shows that the watch was purchased from Shaws Jewellers (USA) on 28th September 1996 for $119.60..
.
Our thanks go to Harry for sending us this watch.

Diego Maradona (1988)

Miklos Verebelyi of Retro Watches (UK)

Two of the more unusual watches in our (Harvey's) collection were donated by Miklos Verebelyi who has a fascinating website at https://www.retro-watches.co.uk/ selling all kinds of vintage watches from the 1950's to the 1990s.

This particular watch was endorsed by the world famous football player, Diego Maradona and as such was made with a high specification that bears Maradona's signature and the number 10 from his shirt.  The face of the watch has a mystery dial, because when you look at it, its a mystery what the time is … unless you know how to read it.

The watch here is displaying the time 2:10.  The white dot on the outer dial is the minute hand whilst the large white dot on the inner disk is the hour hand.   This is a watch that is certainly a conversation starter.

Our thanks go to Miklos for sending us this watch

Zeno SOS Solo (1992)

Miklos Verebelyi of Retro Watches (UK)

Another unique watch given to Harvey by Miklos Verebelyi of https://www.retro-watches.co.uk is this Zeno SOS Solo watch that is the only watch in the collection that has one hand.  In years gone by all clocks actually only had one hand and so telling the time was never actually quite as precise as it is today.

This watch makes it a little easier by having the hour markers around the centre of the watch and the minutes detailed around the edge of the watch,  This is perhaps a watch for the more laid back when just knowing the time is "about" 10:55 (as displayed on this watch) rather than perhaps knowing it is 10:56 precisely.

Our thanks go to Miklos for sending us this watch
