Modest Watches.com and Harvey P Watches is a Father (Elvis) and son (Harvey) collection of watches. Mum (Caroline) also has her own little collection of watches although they are not listed in our collection. Whilst Elvis still has (nearly) every watch he has owned since 1977, the collection didn't really get started until about 2018 when son Harvey also started to show an interest in watches. It was at that time Elvis bought the modestwatches.com domain with a view to creating a website that featured reviews of modestly priced watches - although due to many other projects also taking up free time, that website remained as a development website for 5 years.

Harvey, who also has a great interest in photography, also started his own website at www.HarveyP.com and in January 2019 started a new YouTube channel called Harvey P Photography. All was going great with that until Covid-19 hit the world in 2020.

In April 2020, as a result of the Covid lockdown, Harvey switched from photography to watches and created Harvey P Watches on YouTube, randomly selecting a watch from our collection for each episode. The interest Harvey received from making videos really kicked off his interest in watches even more.

For many people, watch collections have a specific style, for example, diver style watches or 1980s digital watches or they consist of watches from one specific brand. Our collection has no specific style and is purely just watches we like, as a result it consist of all sorts of watches from the 1800s onwards. Many of our watches probably aren't even collectible and have very little value … so it a nut shell, they are in essence, modest watches.
